King James Version
What does Luke 12:7 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
What is our tiny planet doing in a universe so big? What are simple people on a planet with so many different kinds of life? What's the point of me? There are billions of people alive and billions who have lived before us. Jesus tells us that we are very important, not because we are so important, but because God knows us as individuals. We don't have to be afraid because the One who is, was, and will be knows and loves us!
Prayer
You already know my heart, Eternal God, Almighty Father, Tender Shepherd. You are aware of my areas of struggle with sin; kindly encourage and pardon me. You are aware of my anxieties; kindly support and bolster me. You are aware of my youth; help me grow up. You are aware of my disease and frailty; kindly console and heal me. That you know me and love me, Holy God, fills me with awe and comfort. I'm grateful. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
You already know my heart, Eternal God, All-Powerful Father, Gentle Shepherd. You know where I struggle with sin. Please help me and forgive me. You know what I'm afraid of, so please give me hope and strength. You know how immature I am, so please help me grow up. You know I'm weak and sick, so please comfort me and make me better. Holy God, the fact that You know me and love me both scares and calms me. Thank You! In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
