Devotional Reflection
When Jesus was baptized, God said these wonderful things to Him. When we follow our Savior's example and get baptized, God says the same things to us. Jesus gives us His Spirit (Titus 3:4–7), which proves that we are children of God (cf. Ephesians 1:13-14). No matter what Satan tries to do to make us doubt it (cf. Luke 4:3), we can be sure that God loves us and is happy with us. Because of the Spirit, we can call God "Abba, Father" (Galatians 4:6) and know that the Spirit prays for us and tells our Father even our unspoken thoughts (Romans 8:26-27).
Prayer
Abba, Father, I'm grateful that You made me Your child and gave me a share of Your generous inheritance. Please give me the courage to stand up to Satan's lies when he tries to make me question my relationship with You. Thank You for Your Spirit, who helps me even now as I pray by praying for me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
