Devotional Reflection
All I have to do is find myself. It won't ever happen. We don't "find ourselves" or "find our life" by looking for it. We find it when we lose ourselves in something or someone bigger than ourselves. We find our life by giving it to Jesus and the work of His Kingdom.
Prayer
Take my life and each breath I take and use them for Your glory, O Master and Maker of all that lives and breathes. I hope that everything I say and do today pleases You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
It's not easy to give ourselves to God because it means we have to first die to our own will. As Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane, we must cry out, "Not my will, dear Father, but Your will be done!" when we face our own crosses.
Prayer
Father, I want to thank You for sending Jesus to save me. I want to follow You, Lord Jesus. I don't want it to be fake or only half-hearted. I want people to see Your life in me. So, please show me gently where my heart needs to be softened and where my character needs to be shaped by the Spirit, so that I can show more of Your glory, grace, and character to those around me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
