Get out. We do need to get away, and not just sometimes, but often, if not daily. Amazingly, Jesus invites His followers, who are now us, to accompany Him to a peaceful area and relax with Him. In this case, a decent prayer to say is, "Now I lay me down to sleep, and I pray to the Lord to guard my soul." But it's not only about getting a good night's sleep here. It's also about taking a break from our hectic schedules to join Him in a few minutes of grace, relaxation, and restoration. Let us utilize these daily Bible breaks for more than simply checking email; let us use them to go away with the Savior and relax for a few moments!

Prayer

Thank you for always looking out for me and being a devoted shepherd, holy and gentle. I'm trying to be more disciplined while I relax with you, so please touch my heart. As I go to spend time with your Son, Jesus, who is my Savior, kindly keep my soul secure, but more importantly, kindly heal my soul. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
