Devotional Reflection

GratitudeHopeCompassionShame

We care so much about how things look on the outside. Jesus gets to the heart of what God cares about: the state of our spiritual hearts. He wants us to think about not only what we put in our bodies but also what we let grow in our hearts and cultivate in our minds. The most important thing for us to pay attention to is our own minds. So let's be honest and ask ourselves if we spend as much time on our inner lives as we do on how we look on the outside.

Prayer

God, You know what's in people's minds and hearts. May what I say and what I think please You. I give You my inner world so that Your Holy Spirit can make it clean and beautiful. Please keep my heart from having bad goals and my mind from thinking bad things. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
