"There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man."

We care so much about how things look on the outside. Jesus gets to the heart of what God cares about: the state of our spiritual hearts. He wants us to think about not only what we put in our bodies but also what we let grow in our hearts and cultivate in our minds. The most important thing for us to pay attention to is our own minds. So let's be honest and ask ourselves if we spend as much time on our inner lives as we do on how we look on the outside.
