Devotional Reflection
We can't be saved by any other name under the sun (Acts 4:12). We should say that Jesus is Lord in front of other people, knowing that if we do, He will say the same thing about us to the Father in heaven. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to save us and rule over us. Even Peter didn't know all the theological weight behind those words when he called Jesus Christ, but we can make a promise to get to know Him and follow Him until we do. Jesus asks us to let Him be our leader and to take the first step toward getting to know and understand Him better.
Prayer
I firmly believe that you, the Living God and Holy Father, sent Jesus as your Son to save me. I humbly acknowledge to you that I desire for Jesus to rule over my life because I consider him to be both your Son and my Savior. Through your Son, the Christ who was prophesied in the Bible, in Jesus's precious name, I pray. Amen.
