Devotional Reflection
Sometimes it's so hard to do the right thing. It seems so much easier to speak ill of someone who has wronged us, to pray for them in a group, or to pass around a rumor about a Christian who is having trouble. But there is only one right thing to do when another Christian has hurt us: go talk to the person who hurt you, try to keep the damage between just the two of you, and try to reconcile. This is what God wants, and as His children, it should also be our goal.
Prayer
Please pardon my foolish and self-centered behavior, Lord God Almighty. Give me the strength to confront those who have sinned against me in a loving manner, but if I am unable to reconcile the situation, grant me the ability to forgive others as you have forgiven me with the aid of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
