19And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

The fact that Jesus' death on the cross was not an error is evident from the four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Jesus went to Jerusalem despite knowing what would happen there because He wanted to save us. If only we would approach our challenges believing that God will enable us to overcome them and ultimately prevail.

Prayer

Thank you, Holy God and Loving Father, for your plan to use the death of your Son as a means of grace to atone for my sin. So that my life will reflect your victory, may I live today mindful of His sacrifice and assured of His triumph over sin and death. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

One thing that is clear from the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) is that Jesus' death on the cross was not a mistake. Jesus knew what was going to happen in Jerusalem, but He went there anyway to save us. If only we would face our problems with faith that God will help us get through them and triumph in the end.

Prayer

Holy God and Loving Father, thank you for letting the death of your Son cover my sin with your grace. May I live today knowing what He did for me and being sure that He won over sin and death, so that my life will show that You won. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
