GriefShame

Final words! The last words a parent says to a child before he or she goes off to college... The last words said by a loved one to someone who is dying... The last things a friend says before moving far away... These last words are carefully chosen because they stick with people. Jesus' last words tell us what to do. "Go make disciples of all nations! To do this," He stressed, "you must go to where they are, baptize them, and then teach them to do what I taught you to do." The words aren't hard to understand, so why don't we follow those last orders?

Prayer

Use Your Spirit to ignite in me a desire to spread Your grace to others, Father, from whom all peoples derive their hope. Encourage me to step outside of my comfort zone and draw me into Your enabling and self-giving grace so that I can assist others in getting to know You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Father, you are the source of hope for everyone. Let your Spirit stir up in me a desire to share your grace with others. Push me out of my comfort zone and into your empowering and selfless grace, so I can help others find you. In the name of Jesus, who saves, I pray. Amen.
