King James Version
What does Matthew 7:2 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
Jesus wants us to be kind to other people and not judge them, especially when it comes to why they did something. We can't just assume we know what's in someone else's heart. Only God can do that. When we are too harsh, too critical, or too quick to judge, we should remember that God will hold us to the same standard. I don't know about you, but grace is something I need. Those I love do, too. I'm going to try very hard to treat others with the same kindness that I hope God will show me.
Prayer
Abba Father, please forgive me for the times I've been much harder on others than I should have been. Make me want to be kind to other people, so that they can see Your kindness shining through me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
