Devotional Reflection

DoubtShame

Most of us are very good at finding fault in others. Finding fault in ourselves is considerably more difficult. Before we can instruct others on how to live, Jesus tells us that we must first address our own inadequacies and sins. Doesn't it appear to be rather simple? But we all know it isn't the case.

Prayer

Father, please forgive me when I am severe, harsh, and judgmental against others. I know there are difficulties in my own life that need the work of Your Holy Spirit. I acknowledge that there are routine sins that I find myself justifying more and more. Please, my LORD, pardon my sin and empower me to go beyond it. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
