"When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:"

How does Jesus feel about us when bad things happen to us and we feel like life isn't fair? Does He really want to touch our hurt and sick bodies? If you look in two places, you'll find the answer. First, look at Him in the early evening as it starts to get dark. He'll be touching something that shouldn't be touched. Second, we can see Him in pain on the cross, so we can be sure that He knows and cares. But you can also look in a third place. Look to the future, when we will see Him, and every tear will be wiped away, and we will share in His glory. Here, we trust in His grace and only know it in bits and pieces, but the day will come when our immortal bodies will fully understand the words of Matthew 8:16–17 (1 Corinthians 13:9-12; 1 Corinthians 15:35-58).
