Devotional Reflection
How does Jesus feel about us when bad things happen to us and we feel like life isn't fair? Does He really want to touch our hurt and sick bodies? If you look in two places, you'll find the answer. First, look at Him in the early evening as it starts to get dark. He'll be touching something that shouldn't be touched. Second, we can see Him in pain on the cross, so we can be sure that He knows and cares. But you can also look in a third place. Look to the future, when we will see Him, and every tear will be wiped away, and we will share in His glory. Here, we trust in His grace and only know it in bits and pieces, but the day will come when our immortal bodies will fully understand the words of Matthew 8:16β17 (1 Corinthians 13:9-12; 1 Corinthians 15:35-58).
Prayer
Holy and Righteous Father, until the Day of Ultimate Grace is fully realized, I trust that Your love and mercy will keep me going through the servant grace of my Savior and Your Son. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
