4Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.

Devotional Reflection

Everyone and everything, except for ourselves, the people closest to us, and even God, doesn't really care about our praise. What is our quiet voice and praise in a universe so big that Nehemiah couldn't even imagine it? He is called LORD. The vast oceans and their uncountable species and the billions of stars all shout out that our Creator is LORD. God will be worshiped by all the angels and other beings in heaven. What does it matter if we praise Him? In other words, the universe doesn't care. But it does affect us! Because the Lord wants to be our Father and connect with us, it means a lot more to Him.

Prayer

You are the only Lord, the only Holy and Amazing God, the only Lord of everything and the only Lord of my life. People praise you for everything you've made. Your works show how wise you are as an artist and how much you care about other people. Father, I want to join the chorus of creation, the choir of angels, and the many people who have praised you before me. You deserve to be praised for sure. I give you my life, my words, my music, and my feelings, all with humility.
