Passage Context

3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Paul prayed with joy because the Philippians weren't simply his fans; they were his collaborators. They actually shared in his mission via their support in terms of money, prayers, and curiosity and interest in his work. Let's take an interest in the missions of our churches. Let's pray, give to missions, and become acquainted with our missionaries. Let's get to know our missionary companions all over the world!

Prayer

Father in heaven, I ask that Your will be done on earth just as it is in heaven. Bless and strengthen the extension of Your Kingdom, please. Wherever they may be, defend and bolster those with whom our church is partnered. Bless them with more ability, wisdom, and character. Please guide me in identifying and taking the necessary actions to help and encourage them. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
