Devotional Reflection
Stars. God's people have always been able to find hope in them. God told Abraham, "Your children will be as many as the stars." The Psalms ask, "When I look at the stars, what is man that you care about him?" Wise men from the East found their way to Jesus by following a star. Luke tells us that Jesus was a morning star that came down from heaven to shine on people who were in the dark. Now we're famous. The stars in the dark sky of the universe are God's points of light. So let's make today a day when our light shows the glory of God to a dark world.
Prayer
Almighty God, I am unable to comprehend the vastness of Your universe or its billions of stars. However, I am grateful that You have chosen me to be a beacon of light in an otherwise dark world, and I make a commitment to do everything in my power to make this day bright for everyone. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
