Devotional Reflection
Regardless of whether you possess a passport or not, if you are a Christian, only Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven can claim and raise their flag over you. In comparison to your next-door neighbors who do not acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you may have more in common with African Christian refugees, Egyptian Bedouin brothers, Brazilian housewives filled with the Holy Spirit, and Hong Kong businessmen who kneel to pray to the Lord.
Prayer
Glorious God and Almighty Father, I eagerly await the time when people of all races, tongues, and nations will assemble around your throne to worship you in jubilation forever. Create a union for us, if not now, then soon. Lord Jesus, we beg you to come. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Regardless of what your passport says, if you are a Christian, there is no earthly nation that can contain you, no boundary that can claim you, and no flag that can fly over you except that of Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven. Compared to your next-door neighbors who do not know Christ as Lord and Savior, you have more in common with the Christian refugee in Africa, the Bedouin brother in Egypt, the Spirit-filled Brazilian housewife, and the high-rise businessperson in Hong Kong who bows to pray in Jesus' name.
Prayer
I can't wait for the day, Glorious God and Almighty Father, when people from every tribe, nation, and language join the angels and elders around Your throne and worship You with joy for all time. If not now, soon, make us one. Lord Jesus, we ask You to come. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
