"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
King James Version

Devotional Reflection
Paul only makes this pledge to the Philippians after emphasizing to them that he had found the Lord's grace to be adequate in both easy and difficult circumstances, in times of abundance and in times of scarcity. In addition to God's assistance, our faith in Him to meet our greatest needs through Christ Jesus is the secret to this promise. When our hearts yearn to be satisfied by Him, to please Him, to be blessed by His presence, and to gain the certainty of life after death, we can be sure that He will provide what we really need!
Prayer
O God, grant me the sight to notice all the amazing ways You are providing for me and kindly managing the riches You have so generously poured into my life. I'll admit that I have short and narrow vision. I'd like to have a bird's-eye view of Your generosity. However, the "small" portion of Your benefits that I can see is rich, kind, and satisfying. I am aware that You have benefited me in numerous other ways that I am unable to notice. I appreciate Your kindness. Thank You! In the name of Jesus, Amen.
God tells us over and over again in the Bible that if we put our trust in Him and share His gifts with others, He will make sure we have everything we need. How do we know for sure? Look at Jesus!
Prayer
Please forgive me for seeking security and hope in things other than You. You are the only source of hope, freedom, and security that I have. Let me knock down any idols that I may have created that erode or distort my faith in You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
