Devotional Reflection
God wants us to pray to Him. But God wants us to always remember to be thankful so that we don't become too self-centered. We can easily turn prayer into a list of things we want. When thanksgiving and praise are taken out of our prayers, we are the ones who lose out. Without praise, our hearts grow cold because all we can think about are our problems, and prayer turns into a list of things we want.
Prayer
Merciful God, I have a lot of good things to say about You. I can renew my hope in the face of adversity and hardship thanks to Your promises. I owe You a debt of gratitude for my skills in the triumphant moments. I find great joy in Your surprises because I get so bored with the routine. God, thank You for being both great and loving. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Anxiety is worrying about things we can't change and can't stop thinking about. Anxiety takes over and controls a mind that isn't doing anything and a heart that is having trouble, filling both with doubt, fear, and dread. But you can't get rid of anxiety; it has to be replaced. We get rid of our worries when we give them to the Lord and trust that He will take care of us. Then, when we thank Him for what He has done and what He is doing in our lives, those worries and concerns are replaced by a real sense of His presence. So, we can once again have faith in what He has in store for us.
Prayer
I am aware of your affection, Father. You have gone above and beyond to rescue and bless me. It is with full awareness that I place my worries and troubles in your capable hands (especially those issues that are stressing my heart today). Furthermore, I would like to express my gratitude for all the blessings I have received throughout my life, especially the favors I have received from You. Father, please fill my heart with your Spirit and my thoughts with your peace. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
God, I have so many reasons to thank You and praise You. When I am going through hard times, Your promises give me hope again. When I win, it is because of the skills You have given me. I love Your surprises because they break up the monotony of my daily life. Thank You, God, for being so powerful and kind at the same time. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
