What does Proverbs 2:11 mean? โPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
My biggest mistakes have happened when I was in a hurry and didn't stop to pray about what I was going to do or say. Wisdom and sense can be gained through learning and experience, but they can also be given by God. However, you can't ask for this gift. It comes from waiting, trusting, and seeking the Lord's guidance with patience, and from wanting to live a good life for Him.
Prayer
Father, please forgive me, but I'm afraid I'm more often a character than a person with character. Please don't blame me for wanting to play for the crowd. I'll admit that I sometimes try to be funny and popular instead of being careful, understanding, and honest. Please, dear LORD, help me resist the urge to rush and find Your way to honesty. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
