Devotional Reflection

FearShame

Today, everyone says, "We're number one!" But the Bible says that the wicked are the ones who light their own way with their proud eyes and hearts. God, on the other hand, shows His people the way with His Word (the Bible) and with His Word (Jesus). The wicked, however, show themselves the way with their proud eyes and hearts. But God says that being arrogant, proud, "uppity," or whatever you want to call it, is a sin. God is the most important thing, and everything else is important because of Him. It's really that simple.

Prayer

Help me to prioritize You and Your moral qualities in my heart, my choices in life, and my influence. Holy and righteous Father, in Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
