Devotional Reflection
I find it easy to call on God and rely on His mercy and grace when things are hard. He's my save-me-now Savior. But I have to admit that when things are going well and I'm enjoying His blessings, I'm a lot like the Israelites and forget that all the good things in my life and all the chances I've had are because of His grace. When things seem to be going well, I need to learn to acknowledge God and not rely on my own wisdom and strength.
Prayer
Thank you, kind Father, for all the blessings I have experienced. Because of Your grace and not my goodness, I have the family I do, the safety I have, the principles I uphold, the victories I have known, the hope I possess, the salvation I have experienced, and the future I look forward to. I'm grateful. I'm grateful. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
What do you use as a guide for your life? God is the only one who can guide our steps correctly, no matter how smart, wise, experienced, or knowledgeable we are. God asks us to have faith in Him and His wisdom, even when we can't see the reason right away. He wants us to be aware of His guidance and grace in everything we do. As we learn to trust Him and recognize His presence, we realize all of a sudden that our paths are much straighter and our goals are much closer.
Prayer
Abba Father, please give me the strength to not depend on what I know. I know that my thinking can be wrong and that what I plan to be good can backfire on me. Please give me wisdom and understanding as I try to live for You in the confusing and immoral world we live in now. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Trust. It can't be done halfway. Either there is full trust or there is a lot of doubt and suspicion. So, let's put our full trust in the LORD when we face the everyday problems of life or when we're looking for answers to deep and hard problems. Let's ask for His advice and wisdom as we decide what to do. Let's thank Him for the good things in our lives and ask Him to bless us in the days to come. Why? Because He wants to give us life right now and for all time.
Prayer
I put my faith in you, LORD, my Lord. Please lead me as I try to bring glory to you. Help me figure out what to do. Give me wisdom as I try to influence others and show them your grace. Give me the right words to say so I can have a positive effect on my family, my friends, and my coworkers. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Merciful Father, everything good in my life is thanks to You.
