Devotional Reflection
Praise must not just come from our lips. We must praise God from the bottom of our hearts because of all the good things He has done for us. God deserves praise for being holy, majestic, and powerful, but we have even better reasons to praise Him. He has treated us with such kindness.
Prayer
Dearly beloved Father, I thank you for giving us creation as a gift. I thank you for giving us the freedom to accept or reject you out of love. I thank you for selecting Abraham as the source of faith and the people through whom Jesus would enter the world. Thank you for sending Jesus, I pray. I thank you for making a sacrifice to atone for my sins. I give you thanks for bringing Him back to life and for defeating sin and death. I thank you for those who spoke to me about the gospel of your grace. I thank you for what you have done for me and through me. I thank you for what you are about to do, though it is still a mystery to me. I thank you for being the All-Powerful God who has chosen to be my Abba Father. In Jesus's precious name, I pray. Amen.
We serve a great God. He not only characterizes and overcomes sin; He also delivers us from the deserved punishment for our transgressions by pardoning our wrongdoings and purifying us of all wickedness. We give thanks to God for the times in our lives when He has provided true healing, which goes beyond simply treating a sick body. True healing, on the other hand, entails forgiving and freeing ourselves from the things that sap our spirits and make our bodies and souls unwell. The only retirement package that includes this "benefit" is God's!
Prayer
I can't thank You enough, Father, for Your kindness and grace that have absolved and purified me of my guilt. Help me never to lose the delight of being accepted into Your family and having my sins forgiven. I appreciate Your saving grace. I give You praise through Jesus. Amen.
