Devotional Reflection

What a strong pledge! Even on the worst nights of deep spiritual darkness, dawn comes for those who are kind, compassionate, and righteous. The Holy Spirit is reminding us that Satan's darkness will not last forever, even in the worst times of cultural decay and decadence. His darkness can't stay in places where the disciples of Jesus show what the Light of the world is like.

Prayer

God, you are holy, and you love people. Please help me show them your light of holiness and Jesus' light of hope. God, please forgive me for the wrong things I've done. Please wash me clean and give me a pure heart. I don't want your light, which shines through me, to be dimmed or diminished. Help me so I can shine your light on the people around me better. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
