Devotional Reflection

LoveJoyPeaceGratitudeAwe

When my kids were young, I still remember sneaking into their room and watching them sleep. When they were sick, it was sometimes to see how they were doing. Sometimes it was enough to just sit and pray for them, joining the Lord as He watched over them while they slept. Sometimes it was to soak up the love and grace of God for giving me so many good things. Even though they are much older now, I still love to look in on them and pray while thinking about how amazing it is that the Father gave me such precious gifts. Knowing that my Abba Father looks at me the same way, but with even more delight and joy, fills me with indescribable wonder.

Prayer

As I lay myself to sleep, I pray that you, O LORD, will keep me safe in your loving care, so that I may always know you are there for me. My sincere thanks go out to you for your grace and love, as well as to Jesus above, who shares with you my every care, letting me know that you are always present with me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
