Devotional Reflection
We do not lead solitary, isolated lives. The Lord is present right beside us. Our future and safety are in His hands. We shall either be delivered by life, in which case we will serve Him, or by death, in which case we will be released from the restrictions of life and the struggle against sin. The Lord will shield us from any harm!
Prayer
Thank you, mighty Defender, Rock of my salvation, that I am unable to go where you are not. Thank you for giving me a secure future. Make this assurance the force that persuades me to give you control of my life and my future. I ask this in the name of Jesus and by the power of Jesus. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
One of the hardest things about being a parent is knowing that I can't always keep my kids from getting hurt or having their hearts broken. Some of that pain is needed to help them grow up and mature. Some of it hurts because we live in a world that is broken. But we can be sure that nothing can keep them from His ultimate victory, care, and reunion with us and with Him if we share the Lord with them and they give their lives to His will. Imagine how much the Father loves us and wants to bring us to that safe place in His house, knowing how much we love them. Isn't it comforting to know that He is always watching over us and the people we love until we get home?
Prayer
Father, I too am watching and waiting for our first face-to-face meeting. O Father, I know that You see me and keep an eye on me, but there are times when I long to see You and find it difficult to wait to find comfort and blessing in Your company and in my eternal home. I acknowledge that You are keeping an eye on all of my actions until then, and I am grateful for everything I will one day receive. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
We don't live our lives on our own, by ourselves. The Lord is right there with us. He is in charge of our future and our safety. Our deliverance is guaranteed, either from death, which means we will serve Him, or through death, which will free us from the limits of life and the battle with sin. The Lord will protect us from everything bad.
Prayer
Protector of Might, Thank you, Rock of my Salvation, that I can't go anywhere you aren't. Thank you for giving me a safe future. Make this promise the thing that makes me want to give you my future and my life. I believe this because of Jesus, and I ask for it in His name. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
