Devotional Reflection
We are known to God. When He is present, we cannot pretend to be someone we are not. He is completely familiar with every aspect of us. Although most of us try to avoid it, this should allow us the freedom to have a very close relationship with our Father. On the other hand, if we want to change and become more like Him, we must allow Him access to our innermost thoughts, desires, and motivations.
Prayer
It is you who has the power to search the hearts and minds of others, O God. But I know you love me because of the grace you demonstrated in Jesus. While I make every effort to serve you with respect and purity, I deeply regret the sins I have committed. Please grant me your Spirit so that I can become more and more like Christ. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Most people don't like being tested and examined closely. But God knows everything about us. He has been with us since we were born and will continue to be with us even after we die. So let's allow Him to look inside us, test us, and even examine our anxious thoughts. He is not there to judge or punish us. Instead, He is there to forgive us and make us clean so that we can reach His eternal grace.
Prayer
Search me, O God. I know that my heart is not always pure, and my actions are far from faultless. Search me, O God, for I need Your cleansing presence. Search me, O God, for I want You to establish the direction and the goal of my life. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
God knows who we are. We can't act like something we're not when He's around. He knows everything about us, inside and out. This should give us the freedom to have a very close relationship with our Father, but most of us try to stay away from that. If, on the other hand, we want to be more like Him, the only way to change is to let Him see our hearts, what drives us, and what we want.
Prayer
I know that you, God, are the one who "looks into hearts and minds." Still, I am sure that you love me because of the grace you showed in Jesus. I'm sorry for the sins I've committed, but I'm really trying to serve you in a way that is honorable and pure. Please give me more of your Spirit so I can be more like Christ. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
