Devotional Reflection
We want the Holy Spirit to change us so that we become more like Jesus. To make this happen, we must let God's will into our hearts. God wants to hear nothing more than, "Teach me to do Your will." For Him to be God, He has to be in charge of our lives and our choices. This is a big part of loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. When we do this, we open ourselves up to the Father, and the Holy Spirit aligns us with God's will.
Prayer
I want you, Almighty God, to truly be God in my life. I renounce any attempt on my part to try to sway or take advantage of your kindness and grace. I accede to your will. But Holy Father, I confess that I occasionally battle with my own evil and self-centered desires that mislead me. When my heart is hard and my ears are closed to your will, kindly pardon me. Take charge of my life today, please, and may the Holy Spirit guide me on your level terrain. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
God, who is all-powerful, I want You to be my real God. I don't want to try to manipulate You or take advantage of Your grace and kindness in any way. I agree to do what You want. But, Holy Father, I have to admit that I sometimes struggle with my own bad and selfish desires, which lead me astray. Please forgive me when I can't feel Your will and can't hear it. Please take charge of my life today, and may the Spirit lead me to the level ground You have prepared for me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
