Devotional Reflection

LoveGratitude

Father God, "we love you" is something we sing and say in public prayers. But pay close attention to the first line of our verse: "Lord, I love you..." Even when we worship as a group, we are taught how important it is to show God love in our own way. When did you last tell the One who made everything, "I love you"?

Prayer

I cherish You, Heavenly Father. You are more than deserving of my love, which is why I love You. Because You first loved me, I love You in return. Because You sent Your Son to be my big brother and cover the cost of my adoption into Your family, I have a special affection for You. Because of Your loyalty, I cherish You. Because of Your grace, You have given me permission to love You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

I love you, Heavenly Father. I love you because you deserve it more than anyone. Because you loved me first, I love you. I love you because you sent your Son to be my big brother and pay the price for me to join your family. I love you because you are always there for me. I love you because, by your grace, you've let me love you. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
