Devotional Reflection

FearShame

God hates violence and tells us that we shouldn't look up to violent people or try to live like them (Prov. 3:31). God hates the actions of those who do bad things. God not only opposes them while they are alive, but He also lessens their power after they die. He helps people see them for what they are. Their legacy of hate and evil is not seen as heroic at all. Instead, it is rejected, shamed, and forgotten.

Prayer

In our own time of terror and evil, O LORD, please make the threats of the wicked useless and make their memory a foul smell in the noses of those they are trying to trick and use to do their evil will. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
