Devotional Reflection
Even though many of us are spiritually and physically well-off, many of God's people go through hard times. You may be one of those who are having a hard time. Please keep in mind that God has not left you. Jesus is the best way to remember that God cares about the broken, forgotten, and downtrodden and gets involved in their lives. Please also know that tens of thousands of people will pray for you in the prayer that comes next.
Prayer
God, please be with the people whose lives are hard, painful, and sad. Please help every Christian with a broken spirit in a personal and powerful way. Dear Father, please give hope to every Christian who has given up. Give them the tools they need to keep their faith. Pour out Your Spirit with power, so that each heart that is tired and heavy will be made stronger. Help each of Your children hold on to their faith and find new hope when they are with You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
The LORD... is close! ...present! ...close! How do I know? He got close to us in the stable. He lived and worked among us. He went to Calvary to suffer with us and for us. We know that when bad things happen to us or when our hearts break, God is close by to save us. So, will we let Him into our hearts and ask Him to come close? Don't let problems or sadness make you turn away from God or doubt that He is close. Let Him come near you.
Prayer
Please be close to me today, LORD. Make it clear that You are in my life. Father, I also ask You to bless the people I know who are having trouble with their faith and whose hearts are broken and sad. Please be involved in their lives and let them know You are there. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
