Devotional Reflection

HopeGrief

God sometimes seems far away and not interested in what we have to say. Think about the hundreds of years that Israel was enslaved and prayed for the Deliverer that God had promised. They must have asked themselves over and over, "Isn't God listening?" But God sent His Son at the right time to save the people. God doesn't ask us to act like everything is fine even when it's not. He wrote cries for help and freedom in the Psalms. You might be in a situation where these are your words. If so, know that thousands of people who read Today's Verse are praying for God to save you right away and in a powerful way.

Prayer

Almighty God, may everyone on earth respect Your name as much as the angels do. Show us the strength and power of Your kingdom right now. Keep the evil one from attacking Your Church and Your children. Bring freedom to Your children who are crying out for help with spiritual, family, health, or financial problems. May our lives, now and always, be lived for Your glory. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
