Devotional Reflection

FearShame

We feel frustrated and envious when bad people seem to do well, even though they are bad. We are reminded not to let the short-term successes of bad people make us lose faith or feel down. Their victories don't last long; their wealth is like a flower that will die, and their lives are like grass that withers quickly.

Prayer

LORD God Most Powerful, praise Your holy and unique name. You have done me a lot of good. You have kept me safe when my enemies came after me. With You, You have given me life, hope, and a future. Now, dear Father, please help me not to waste time worrying about what other people have. Please give me a heart of thanksgiving for all You've done for me and a heart of contentment with what You've given me. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
