King James Version
What does Psalm 46:1 mean? โPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
Where can we go when all the walls fall, all the armies fall apart, and there is no longer any hope? To God, our Father, who will always be there. He saved Israel in the worst of times, kept the Bible safe from people who wanted to get rid of it, and has led His Church through trouble and success for thousands of years. The same thing will happen to us until He brings us home to Himself.
Prayer
I am grateful to you, my Rock, my Hope, and my Protector, for keeping me alive. I appreciate you listening to my cries for assistance and relief. I appreciate your helping me find paths that have been beneficial. God, please be with me as I navigate the pressures and difficulties in my life. Allow me to develop and serve as an example for others as I navigate the storms of life through the power of your Spirit. I make this request in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. In Jesus's precious name, I pray. Amen.
God is our assistance as well as our defender. Despite the apparent collapse of our world, He remains present. Either through or from death, He will deliver us. Either He will deliver us from evil, or He will enable us to overcome it. It is our responsibility to have faith that we are not alone and abandoned in the midst of our earthquakes and tsunamis.
Prayer
Holy God, I pray for those who are currently experiencing turmoil in their lives. You are aware of those for whom I care. You are aware that I care about their difficulties, which are too great for me to alleviate and too painful for me to provide genuine solace. I now ask You to bless them, be with them, and expedite their deliverance. You are our only real hope, and Jesus is our only certain Savior. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
God is both our defender and our supporter. He is present even when it feels like our world is collapsing around us. He will either deliver us through or from death. He will either deliver us from evil or help us triumph over it. Our responsibility is to have faith that, despite our earthquakes and tides, we are not left in the dark or abandoned.
Prayer
Heavenly God, I petition You for those today who are in life's tremors. You are aware of the people I am worried about. You are aware that I am concerned about their difficulties, which are too great for me to lessen and too upsetting for me to fully soothe. Now, please bless them, be with them, and deliver them as soon as possible. You are our only real hope, and Jesus is our only firmly believed Redeemer. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
My Rock, My Hope, and My Protector, I thank You for keeping my life. I'm glad that You heard me when I asked for help and healing. I'm grateful that You've led my feet down paths that have been good for me. Please, God, stay close to me as I deal with life's stresses and problems. Help me grow and be an example as I go through the storms of life by giving me Your Spirit. I ask for this in the name of Jesus, my Savior and Lord. Amen.
