Devotional Reflection
God is our assistance as well as our defender. Despite the apparent collapse of our world, He remains present. Either through or from death, He will deliver us. Either He will deliver us from evil, or He will enable us to overcome it. It is our responsibility to have faith that we are not alone and abandoned in the midst of our earthquakes and tsunamis.
Prayer
Holy God, I pray for those who are currently experiencing turmoil in their lives. You are aware of those for whom I care. You are aware that I care about their difficulties, which are too great for me to alleviate and too painful for me to provide genuine solace. I now ask You to bless them, be with them, and expedite their deliverance. You are our only real hope, and Jesus is our only certain Savior. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
God is both our defender and our supporter. He is present even when it feels like our world is collapsing around us. He will either deliver us through or from death. He will either deliver us from evil or help us triumph over it. Our responsibility is to have faith that, despite our earthquakes and tides, we are not left in the dark or abandoned.
Prayer
Heavenly God, I petition You for those today who are in life's tremors. You are aware of the people I am worried about. You are aware that I am concerned about their difficulties, which are too great for me to lessen and too upsetting for me to fully soothe. Now, please bless them, be with them, and deliver them as soon as possible. You are our only real hope, and Jesus is our only firmly believed Redeemer. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
