Devotional Reflection

HopeGriefFear

There aren't always answers right away. We have prayed, cried, tried, gone without sleep, and yelled. Still, no one knows what to do. The pain gets worse and worse as the days go by. Still, we can't figure out what the answers are. What do we do? We read the book of Psalms. We let them say what is in our hearts. Even though we are honest with the God of the whole universe, we still expect Him to be kind to us. We're sure that when we're having trouble, He will not only hear us but also care about what's going on in our lives.

Prayer

Please hear the cries of those I love who are in such dire circumstances today, Almighty God, the one and only true Curator of disease and Mender of Broken Hearts. In each of their lives, may Your will be carried out with kindness, grace, and a sense of Your presence. Also, Lord, please be with me and make it so I can see how You have answered my prayers. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
