Devotional Reflection
How nice it is to be as close to God as His shadow and to feel safe and secure in His presence. He is not far away if we want to be close to Him. Let's decide to get closer!
Prayer
Make your proximity known to me, great All-Powerful God, compassionate Shepherd, and Abba Father. As I strive to emulate your holiness and grace, I long to live in your presence. I approach you in full assurance of your love and grace because of the blood of Jesus. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
At the end of the summer's sweltering heat, where did you find your cool, safe shadow? When we give our lives to God Most High, we find that we are covered by His shadow, which protects and refreshes us. Even when things are hard, we know that He has kept us safe from Satan's worst attacks and that His presence gives us strength we don't always see but can always count on.
Prayer
Give me eyes to see, O LORD, and a heart that can believe You are there even when I can't see any proof. Please keep me safe when I'm being attacked and give me hope when I'm feeling really down. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
O great, all-powerful, gentle Shepherd and Abba Father, show me that You are close. I want to be in Your presence and try to show how holy and kind You are. By the blood of Jesus, I come close to You, sure of Your love and grace. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
