Devotional Reflection
So many of the things we want are only going to last for a short time. They are only useful for a few months or, at most, a few years. Even our own lives and the lives of the people we love are not very long. But God's nature, what makes Him who He is ("Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!"), and what He wants from us are always the same. So, let's build our lives on a solid foundation: God's will and a promise to share in His holiness.
Prayer
Holy God, I thank You for making me holy and forgiving my sins through Your grace. Fill me with Your Spirit and make me bear the fruit of the Spirit so that my life shows Your grace and character. Give me a desire to know Your will and a thirst for Your truth, as well as the ability to understand it and put it into practice in my life. I want to make You the focus and goal of my life. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
