Devotional Reflection
Laughter and song are the best ways to describe happiness. When we are happy, we sing to the Lord. Our music isn't stifled or held back in any way. Instead, it's full of heart and sound. Thanksgiving brings us into the presence of the Father, and our happiness at being saved makes us want to sing.
Prayer
O most gracious and loving God, thank you so much for saving me from guilt, the death penalty, legal restrictions, and nothingness. It is because of your Holy Spirit that I am able to approach you with exuberant delight, thanks to your salvation. In addition to giving me hope, your kindness and compassion have embraced me into your family. Be delighted by my worship songs as you hear my heart. Forever and ever, I will pray and shout your praise in Jesus' name. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Having a loving, eternal, and stable God in a world that is "upside down" is really something to shout about. So much of what gets us excited in our world today is just a short-lived victory, a thrill from watching someone else play sports, or admiration for a hero. But God gives us a reason to truly sing with joy. He knew us before we were born, He loved us before the world was made, He sent His Son to save us, and He will bring us back to Himself! Today, no quiet song will do. Let's sing joyfully and call out to the LORD.
Prayer
Thank you, LORD God, for sending down Your salvation to me! You have comforted me with Your love, renewed me with Your Spirit, and blessed me with Your grace. The abundance of Your many rich blessings fills my life to the brim. I sincerely thank You. I think good thoughts about You. I speak words of praise for You. With my hands, I give You praise. I laud You from the bottom of my heart. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
O most lovely and glorious God, thank you very much for freeing me from sin, death, law, and futility. Thank you for rescuing me and giving me the certainty, via your Holy Spirit, that I may come before you with enthusiastic and overflowing delight. Your kindness and grace have not only given me hope but have made me your child. Hear my heart and be blessed by my songs of praise. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
