Devotional Reflection
What a strong and brave word "hate" is. We shouldn't hate other people. We must hate what's bad. This is a hard combination to pull off, but it is essential. Because of the Evil One, who is the leader of hate, lies, and death, there is evil in the world. So, when bad things happen, let's be brave and stand up to Satan and his work. Let's pray for those who are caught in his web, even if they think we are their enemies.
Prayer
Make the evil in my world hurt my heart, Almighty God. Give me a holy abhorrence for anything that goes against Your will and character. But Father, please give me the courage to care about those who are in the Evil One's grasp, just as You saved me from sin and delivered me from captivity through Your grace. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
