Devotional Reflection

LoveGratitudeHopeAwe

What a beautiful picture! He died for us and will give us food and water. The One who holds all of eternity together will take the time to comfort us in person. So it makes sense that Paul could say he didn't think his current sufferings were worth comparing to the glory that will be shown to us. (Romans 8:18)

Prayer

Father God, thank you for loving me so much. You are the Lord of everything, and you are in charge. I know I don't deserve your immense and generous grace, but I'm glad you give it to me anyway. Even though I know I can't do enough to honor you, I'm grateful you promised to welcome me into your presence, care for me, and comfort me when I return home. Your love, Lord, is so great that I can't even begin to understand it. It fills my heart with wonder and praise. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
