Passage Context

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Devotional Reflection

GratitudeHopeCompassionShame

How delightful are your feet? Individuals with delightful feet are either "sending people" or "going people" who share the uplifting news of salvation in Jesus Christ. Which would you say you are? If we're not one of those two options, we're Christians with appalling feet. Now, no one would want that to be said to describe them. Therefore, let's form a partnership with other believers by either traveling and soliciting their assistance or by offering our own assistance and support to others as they travel!

Prayer

All-powerful God of the nations, I realize it torments Your heart to see so many people in our present world who don't know the name of Your Son, much less have faith in Him as their Lord. Give us the desire to have beautiful feet like those of our brothers and sisters in the first chapters of the book of Acts, by the power of the Holy Spirit. May the Gospel spread in our day as it did in theirs! I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
