Devotional Reflection

GriefFear

Hate is a part of real love. If we really love, we hate what is bad. We hate how it gets into our hearts and hurts the people we love. We hate what it does to the people we care about. We are turned off by the fact that it destroys the lives of those who are weak, fragile, or uncertain. So the best thing we can do for the people we care about is to hold on to what is good and stay far away from what is bad and wicked.

Prayer

Dear Father, may my life be a source of goodness and joy for my loved ones and for those I am close to. Please grant me the discernment to recognize what is right and the bravery to fervently pursue it. Please keep the evil one at bay and pardon me when I have succumbed to his temptations. Please shield my loved ones from the consequences of my own selfish and evil choices. Please cleanse and purify me so that I can live a holy life dedicated entirely to You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
