⁵Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

⁶For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

⁷Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

⁸Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

⁹For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Ow! Tax day. Not one of my favorites. What about you? But where would we be if we didn't have a government, rules, and laws? Even if we don't like how the system works now, imagine if we didn't have one. Let's live in a way that helps others and is good for our country. Let's also be good citizens and ask God to bless our country and bring it new life.

Prayer

I give thanks to the holy God that I am free in You and have no allegiance to anyone or anything. However, I will abide by the laws of this country in accordance with Your wishes because I want people to respect Your name. I fervently pray that You will also heal our nation and win back our hearts, O Lord. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Couldn't it be decent for God to let us be free of charge at times? In any event, He is sincerely and blessedly calling us to His presence. We should learn how to live in a fallen world in need of restoration as God's children without remaining unaffected by it. As a result, we honor our obligations and responsibilities to others since doing so honors our Father.

Prayer

Holy God, grant my government the ability to employ the taxes my fellow citizens and I pay more wisely. Please assist me in demonstrating respect and honor today so that my submission to Your will may be both private and public. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
