What does Romans 15:2 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
There are many things that can make people unhappy and disappointed with their lives. But for many of us, these are signs that we are angry with life because we are too focused on ourselves. We have stopped counting our blessings, stopped thanking God, stopped praising our Father, and stopped helping those around us. Christ always thought about other people. When we do what He did, we make a difference in the lives of the people we bless, and we also get a lot of good out of it. Let's stop thinking about ourselves and look for ways to help those around us.
Prayer
Help me to recognize the suffering, brokenness, and challenges in the lives around me, Holy and Matchless God. Help me to bless those who sorely need to experience Your love and grace through me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
A variety of factors might contribute to feelings of disappointment and dissatisfaction with life. However, for many of us, they are indications of being excessively focused on ourselves and upset with life. We've stopped counting our blessings, stopped offering thanks to God, stopped singing praises to our Father, and stopped assisting people around us. Christ lived by thinking of others. When we follow in His footsteps, our acts make a difference in the lives of the people we help, and we are also enormously blessed. Let us shift our emphasis away from ourselves and toward blessing our neighbors!
Prayer
God, You are holy and unbeatable. Please help me see the brokenness, hurt, and problems in the lives of the people around me. Please use me to bless those who need to know Your love and grace so much. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
