Devotional Reflection
Even though sin and death have messed up the world, God still made us in His image and shaped us in our mothers' wombs. But we run into the harsh truth that we are weak and have failed. We can't be holy like God, which is what makes Him God. We sin. We rebel. We fail. We still do things we know we shouldn't. We don't pay attention to the important parts of God's will and focus on small things instead. We hurt and harm those we love with our words. Who can save us from these harsh and limiting truths about ourselves? When we trust Jesus as our Messiah and Lord, we should give Him praise and hallelujahs because He can save us from these bad things and prepare us to live a life that blesses others and God.
Prayer
You, God Most High, are deserving of adoration and respect. You are powerful, holy, and above all others. You have made the decision to show us, your children, love, generosity, mercy, forgiveness, and tenderness. I'm grateful that you exist in the exact manner in which you have chosen. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Our bodies will die and have flaws. Our weakness and sin have made them dirty. But thanks to God's grace in Jesus Christ, our future is not in the dust with our bodies, but in the power of our Lord who is making us better.
Prayer
Thank you, All-Powerful God, for giving me life after my body dies. Thank you for making me holy even though my body is dirty with sin. I'm grateful that you saved me from death and brought me into your glory. Now, dear Father, I want everything I say, do, and think today and every day after to show your grace and power. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
