Passage Context

26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

We are a part of God. He is currently working to correct the wrongdoings of Satan and guide us in the direction He desires. No matter what we do or where we are, this is true. The key is for us to look for His strategy and carry it out. We can be confident that God will be by our side the entire time if that is our goal.

Prayer

God, thank you for working in my life. I appreciate you not letting me rely solely on my meager efforts, judgment, and free will. I appreciate that you have a plan for me and that if I seek your will, I won't be able to sabotage that plan. I'm grateful that you have been my God, my Father, and my lifelong companion. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

God's faithfulness is the most important thing in our lives. The Bible tells the story of how God has always been true to Israel and His promises. No matter what seems to be going on in our lives, we can count on Him to keep His promises. When life is hard and faith is challenging, the real question is whether or not we choose to love God and live for His purposes. This verse isn't just a platitude; it's a ring of hope for people with strong faith who choose to keep going even when there's no apparent reason to. Faith is based on the fact that Jesus conquered death, Satan, and sin on the third day, while we are still waiting for the dawn of our full salvation.

Prayer

Lord, give me courage, faith, and character, and may my faith and hope in You last as long as I live. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Life is full of bad things. Satan has something to do with bad things. Our own sins and the bad things that come from them also play a role. Things that hurt us happen when we go against God or when the people we love are spiritually weak. God even punishes us sometimes to shake us out of our sleepiness or to fix a sinful problem in our lives. In spite of all this, we have an amazing promise: If we love God and try to live our lives in a way that honors Him, our Heavenly Father will work out everything that happens in our lives for our good.

Prayer

Father, I'm glad You said that everything in my life, good and bad, will work out for my good. I ask You, dear Father, to give me the faith to believe this promise is true even when things are hard and hurtful. I ask for patience, O God, so that I can stay true to my beliefs even when things are difficult. I believe Your promise, dear LORD, and I'm excited to see what You will make of me when Your work is done. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

God is a part of us. He is busy right now fixing the bad things that Satan has done and taking us where He wants us to go. This is true no matter what we do or where we are. The key is for us to look for His plan and do what He wants. If that is our goal, we can be sure that God will be with us the whole time.

Prayer

God, thank you for working in my life. Thank you for not leaving me to my own efforts, choices, and limited knowledge. Thank you that you have a plan for me and that if I seek your will, I can't mess up that plan. Thank you for always being my God, my Father, and my Partner. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
