"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,"
King James Version
What does Titus 2:11 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
In a world where there are no absolutes and where people are looking for moral standards, God's costly grace calls us to change our lives as a response to His grace. Whoever receives God's grace but doesn't try to do what's right shows they are either ignorant or have a hard heart. In our day and age, to be saved means to try to do what is right. This is not so that we can earn our salvation, but so that God's saving grace won't go to waste in us.
Prayer
I admit that I'm living in a confusing time, Holy Father. Satan constantly blurs the lines between good and evil, moral and immoral, and right and wrong. May my life today demonstrate the righteousness You gave me through Jesus because You have been so kind to me. "My Rock and my Redeemer, may the words I speak and the thoughts I have be pleasing in Your sight." In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Grace is not about making excuses for our sins. Instead, it is a deep-seated gratitude for forgiveness and a life-changing commitment to say "No!" to all that is evil, corrupt, and wicked, no matter how appealing or common it may be in our culture.
Prayer
LORD, God of Jesus, my Abba Father, I praise You for the extravagant grace and love that Jesus showed me. Now make me more determined to say "No!" to all the sins that caused my Savior to suffer and be shamed. Shape in me, by the power of Your Spirit, a righteous way of life that is self-controlled and displays Your righteousness. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
Holy Father, I admit that I live in a time that is hard to understand. Satan is always making it hard to tell the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, and moral and immoral. Because You have been so kind to me, may my life today show that I am righteous because of what Jesus did for me. May the things I say and the things I think be pleasing to You, my Rock and my Redeemer. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
