¹But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

²That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

³The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

⁴That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

⁵To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Devotional Reflection

GratitudeHope

Teach in order to teach! We need godly women in God's family to teach us how to honor God and live in honesty. That implies we must educate these women on how to teach. We should hope that they will step up and serve as mentors. We must respect their religious practices and recognize their devotion.

Prayer

Father, holy and righteous, please give birth to women who are courageous and loyal in their service. Grant us the courage to utilize them as role models for your people and the capacity to observe how they conduct their lives for God. Thank you for the numerous godly women who have impacted our Christian history, including Priscilla, Mary, Dorcas, Esther, and Deborah. I also want to express my gratitude to you for the godly ladies who have greatly impacted my life and taught me a great deal about love, hope, and faith. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
