Devotional Reflection
So, God also enjoys singing! He even likes to sing lullabies to the people He cares about. God is not only "Abba Father," but He's also like a mother. He loves His children so much that He rocks them gently and calms them down.
Prayer
I pray to God that when life's storms come raging at me, I will keep in mind these words and seek safety, solace, and peace in Your protective care. God, as You reveal more and more of Your salvation to me every day, help me to recognize Your singing in my life. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
God is on our side! That's what the story of Jesus is all about (Matthew 1:23). This is the message of hope that Zephaniah gives to the people of God who have been defeated. God is here with us. He has the power to save. He cares for us. He delights in us. With His gentle touch, He calms the storms in our hearts. He sings us songs that make us happy. God wants to be near us and wants us to come closer. What are you going to say?
Prayer
Father, help me stay strong as I turn away from bad things and try to get closer to You. I don't want to be like everyone else without You. I don't want to make a false representation of You. I'm interested in You. I want to feel Your presence and be one of the ways You show grace to others. I need to be with You to make my soul feel better. I'm glad You're close. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
So God enjoys singing as well! He even enjoys singing lullabies to individuals He cares about. God is not just Abba Father, but also a maternal figure. With His tender care, He gently rocks and soothes His children.
Prayer
God, I pray that when life's storms hit me, I'll remember these words and find shelter, comfort, and peace in Your care. God, make me aware of Your presence in my life as You show me more and more how to be saved. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
