ROMANS 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Restating what verse 6 above told us, let's take our time and reflect on it. Awful people, for whom Christ died. For those who are the furthest from God. For those who are in such horrible shape that nobody believes they have any hope.
Why did Christ die in the place of sinners? Why did Jesus act in this way?
The remainder of Romans 5 provides the response. It describes how Adam's sin and rebellion against God caused all of humanity to live under a curse and under the control of the devil. But all of mankind now has access to salvation, deliverance, freedom, and a renewed connection with God because of what Jesus Christ did.
We are freed from the realm of darkness in which we were imprisoned by selecting the Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13). This is available to everyone, not just those who deserve it. It is accessible to everyone, even the worst and most unholy. Jesus gave his life to free us all.
Even the most wicked among us were set free by Jesus' death, which served as a sign of God's love. Jesus gave his life to save people.
So how should you behave towards evil, horrible people? Must you despise them? You should tell them to go to Hell?
NO! Jesus gave his life to save people. Therefore, you should share with them how much Jesus cares for them and the arrangements He has already made for purifying them of their sins.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
God does not intend for people to continue living in sin. So that people will turn to Him and allow Him to give them a new nature, making them His children.
SAY THIS:
My Lord Jesus Christ died to free sinners.
